Introduction

Dr. Gaurav Aggarwal is a seasoned Uro-Oncosurgeon and the Lead of the Uro-Oncology and Robotics Department at HCG Cancer Centre, Kolkata. He has over a decade of experience treating and managing different types of urological cancers using open and minimally invasive surgical approaches. Having completed his MBBS from one of Mumbai’s prestigious institutes in 2004 and then his MS in General Surgery with a University Gold Medal from DAVV Indore in 2010, he pursued higher surgical sub-specialty training in Surgical Oncology (Uro-Oncology) at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata, from 2011-2013. He completed his specialized training in Urology and Uro-Oncology at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and subsequently continued working as a Consultant there till 2018. He worked as a Consultant in the Department of Uro-Oncology at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, from 2019 until June 2024. Dr. Aggarwal is a prolific researcher with over 60 international publications and contributions to 4 medical textbooks.
