Dr. Intezar Mehdi is the Director and Head of the Department, Senior Consultant - Paediatric Haematology Oncology and BMT at HCG Cancer Centre, Bangalore. He is a renowned paediatric haemato-oncologist, with vast experience in the treatment of childhood cancers. Dr. Mehdi has also gained expertise in the treatment of haematological disorders like thalassaemia, sickle cell anaemia, anaemia in children, AIHA, ITP, platelet disorders, haemophilia, and other bleeding disorders. He is well-versed in autologous and allogeneic blood and bone marrow transplants which are indicated in haematological and oncological malignancies and benign conditions like thalassemia and aplastic anaemia.
