Introduction

Dr. V V S Prabhakar Rao is a nuclear medicine specialist with three decades of experience in the field of nuclear medicine, PET CT and radiodiagnosis. Dr. Prabhakar Rao has set up high-dose radioiodine therapy wards in army establishments, state institutions and tertiary cancer hospitals, where he has treated numerous thyroid cancer patients with radioiodine therapy. His core interest lies in maximising radioisotope usage with low exposure to patients, public and radiation professionals.

He has 41 years in Nuclear Medicine. Starting 1983 Army Medical Corps till 2003. Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences Hyderabad and MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre Govt of AP.till.2012. Omega Hospitals and HCG.Vizag 2012- till date.
